Anti Candida Diet – 7 Tips

An anti Candida diet can help re-balance your body, and if a poor diet is the cause of your problem it can stop recurring infections. Anti Candida diet takes will power though and it can make everyday life tricky so here are some ideas on how to deal with different situations.

Take it easy! If your diet is full of processed, junk and refined or sugary foods, this is going to be a tough change for you. Cutting everything out all at once is going to make you more likely to 'fall off the wagon' and that will make the whole thing pointless. Take it easy and cut things out gradually until you get to where you need to be to officially start the anti Candida diet. For example Week 1 cut out sugar, the next week cut out carbohydrates, the next week starchy foods and so on.

Be positive Think about what you can eat rather than what you cannot. There are still a large variety of great foods with great tastes that you can eat.

Give yourself a break There are bound to be situations where you end up eating something not on the diet, perhaps you fell off the wagon, perhaps its your best friends birthday party and she gives you a piece of cake, or maybe your son made his first cookie at daycare and wants you to eat it! Whatever the reason do not use it as an excuse to give up completely. Just accept it and move on!

Bring Your Own If you are going round a friends take your own snack, they don't feel awkward offering food you cant have and you don't feel awkward having to say no. Keep suitable snacks at work and in the car too.

Fill up and the good stuff before you go out. If you are going to a party where there are all those tempting finger foods, eat a big meal before you go so you are less likely to stuff yourself.

Eating Out Try to be the one who choose which restaurant to go to if you have a dinner date so that you can choose one you know has food you can eat. Most places have salads nowadays so if in doubt opt for that. Even if they do not as long as you are not eating out every night relax!

Making friends and family aware. It helps if the people around you know you have special food requirements so they do not keep tempting you with foods you can't eat. But understandably you may not want to announce to everyone you know that it is an anti candida diet. Tell people you are detoxing and that is usually enough for them.
